After a successful fun filled winter, Red River Ski Area (RRSA) is getting ready to welcome the 2013 Summer season! RRSA’s winter season saw ample amounts of natural snowfall for a “four foot February” as well as many new and returning events and activities. Sarah Dorrance, RRSA’s Marketing Coordinator, expresses “we were excited to introduce two new events featuring our Terrain Parks. The Thanksjibbing Rail Jam at the start of the season as well as the We Be Jammin’ Sundown Rail Jam at the end of the season both had terrific turn outs!” Red River Ski Area was extremely excited to introduce ‘Snow Coach Dinner Tours’ as the newest big winter activity. Walt Foley, Deputy Manager of the Ski Area, states “with much anticipation of offering a new product to our Red River Ski Area guests, our Snow Coach Dinner Tours received strong positive feedback, and I am proud to say we exceeded the guests expectations and look forward to expanding upon this unique experience in the future.”

With summer season just around the corner, Denny Judycki, General Manager for RRSA is “optimistic about another great summer with the continuation of our summer activities.” The Red River Ski Area offers a dynamic range of family friendly fun with Summer Scenic Chairlift Rides, Summer Mountain Tubing, and 18 Hole Mountain Top Disc Golf as main attractions. Other fun RRSA Summer activities include live music at the The Tip restaurant, hiking, biking, and fishing! Improvements to the RRSA facilities and grounds will be made throughout the summer such as a more family friendly feel to the fishing pond area.

RRSA is pleased to announce Timothy Collver as the newly appointed Summer Program Activities Coordinator. Collver expresses “I am excited to learn from and work with a great team to develop new summer programs opportunities at RRSA. It is going to be an amazing summer!” Red River Ski Area will also be hosting summer events throughout the season including the second annual Drew Judycki Memorial Disc Golf Tournament. “We will be making small improvements to the Disc Golf Course such as permanent amateur tee pads. We are excited about the tournament this fall, and hope to have a great turn out as we did last year” states Resort Operations Director, Linton Judycki.
