The Red River Chamber of Commerce would like to announce that plans are underway for the Oktoberfest Event to take place October 11 – 13, 2013, in Brandenburg Park. Oktoberfest in Red River will include: microbreweries, food and craft vendors, German “OOMPAH” Polka music, Ms. Oktoberfest competition, contests, and activities for kids such as a coloring contest. There will be a beer contest involving all the attending brewers, which will be awarded “Best Amber,” “Best Lager,” and “People’s Choice.” All of Red River is engulfed by the spirit of Oktoberfest with its array of activities that occur at many different locations. If you are interested in sponsorship opportunities, contact the Chamber of Commerce at 575-754-2366 x 1. There are also trade-out opportunities, such as radio station air time in exchange for Red River vacation package give-aways. So, keep this in mind if you’re looking for another way to get your name out there! Radio trade is a great option. You will be hearing from us in the near future as we get our advertising in place and trade packages together.
