Dear Fine Art & Wine Applicant:
Red River’s Sixth Annual Fine Art & Wine Festival in picturesque Brandenburg Park is slated for Father’s Day weekend June 19th, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and June 20th, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Artists accepted into the juried event will showcase a variety of fine art, sculpture, photography and pottery. New Mexico’s finest vineyards will be on hand providing wine tasting and seminars. Great deals will be offered for fortunate bidders at our silent auction. The Festival’s entry fee is only $150 for a 10 x 10 booth and $250 for a 10 x 20 booth with a security deposit of $50 for each size booth. The categories to be juried are painting, pottery, sculpture, and photography. Booths must be open for business when the event begins and must remain open until the gates close each day. Breakdown is Sunday, June 21st at 4:00 p.m. If all guidelines are met, your deposit of $50 will be refunded immediately following the event. Our venue will accommodate a maximum of 30 artists, nine wineries and seven food vendors, so please submit your applications soon! The jury deadline is May 1, 2010. Applications that are submitted after this date will be reviewed on a case by case basis, dependent on space availability. Interested artists are required to categorize their work and submit five photographs of their work to the address above, or you may send digital photographs to rebecca@redriverchamber.org. After processing your application you will receive a confirmation letter with an assigned number for your booth. We would also appreciate a photo and biography for our program and website. Bring along the children! Youngsters from ages one to twelve will have a great time painting sculptures while exhibiting their artistic talent. Prizes will be awarded in a competition in each age category. You never know, one of them may become the next Picasso or Rembrandt! Please visit our website, www.redrivernewmex.com, or call our office, 1-800-348-6444 for further information.
