5th Annual Fine Art & Wine Festival
June 14-15, 2008

The Red River Fine Art & Wine Festival will take place Father’s Day Weekend, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Saturday, June 14th and 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, June 15th, 2008.  Exhibitors and wine merchants will be located in Brandenburg Park in the center of our picturesque town.  Artists will showcase a variety of fine art, sculpture, photography and pottery.  There will be wine tasting, wine seminars, and silent and live auctions.  This event is upscale with very tasteful presentations. In our research we have discovered that over the past three years we have seen a 50% increase in spectator attendance for this event.

We didn’t forget the kids.  Children from age one to twelve will be invited to make your own souvenir to exhibit their talent.  There will be contests to determine who might be the next Rembrandt or Picasso!

This event will be a juried show for artists.  There is a $50.00 security deposit for each booth and the entry fee is $150.00 for a 10x10, and $250.00 for a 10x20.  All booths must be open and ready for business when the event starts each day, and are required to remain open until the closing of each day.  Booths must not breakdown until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday.  If ALL the above guidelines are followed, your deposit of $50.00 will be refunded to you immediately following the event.

There is a limited amount of space available in the venue.  Our venue will allow for 30 artists, nine wineries, and seven food vendors, so please submit your application as soon as possible.  After processing your application, we will send you a confirmation letter notifying you of your assigned number.

The deadline for entry is June 1, 2008.  Interested parties should send five (5) slides of their work to the Red River Chamber of Commerce office or you can send digital photographs to rrinfo@redriverchamber.org for the Jury’s consideration.  Artists should also indicate the type of work to be exhibited: oil, acrylic, tempura, watercolor, pastel, sculpture, pottery, or photography.

We would also like to request that you submit a photo and biography that will be placed in an artist and winery program.  We will also put the information on our website under the Fine Art & Wine section.

If you would like further information please contact the Chamber of Commerce at 1-800-348-6444.

Enclosed you will find the event application and a tentative event schedule.
